Weekly Live Show Recap - Ep. 16 - Connection To The Higher Version of Self - Ft. Traci Philips
20:37

Introduction:

The third portion of this spirituality discussion is talking about connecting with the Higher version of self. Once again, all religions and people of any faith believe that there’s some level within ourselves that we’d ideally like to tap into. We all believe that we have some level “more” than ourselves - which is why we all pursue happiness and a better life.

In this discussion, we are exploring everything to do with the Higher Version of Self - it is the inner force within us that allows us to tap into the greater “system” and power that runs this world. What is meant by when we say “The Higher Version of Self”? What is my relationship like with this Higher Version of Self? How does it play into our lives?

Come join us on the journey to discover how we can potentially tap into this higher version of self and how it plays into our life in this week’s episode and discussion.

Watch the recap below:

The Purpose of Talents:

  • Talents aren’t about what we can DO it’s about how we can CONNECT.
  • We are gifted with talents, skills, abilities, and experiences to utilize to make a difference in people’s lives.
  • Leadership isn’t about promoting the degrees you have. It’s about applying the experiences you have so that they can be valuable.

The Higher Version of Self:

  • Higher self is space with yourself and space with G-d.
  • You can judge something you haven’t experienced or you can go and experience it.
  • Be able to explain your beliefs and values, don’t just accept them.
  • In order to go up you must go in. G-d’s delivery portal is inside you. The true moments where G-d is speaking to you is from your inner voice.
  • Learn to be in alignment and seek out the alignment and understanding of what you’re looking to be in alignment with.
  • Ask yourself: Who are you as a leader in your life? And who is leading that life?

Watch the recap below:

Knowledge Through Questioning:

  • We have to tap into our inherent curiosity.
  • Alignment comes from curiosity and pursuing what we are looking for.
  • We have to learn how not to take it personally when someone challenges us or questions us.
  • We give meaning to our experiences. We can choose to be “bothered” by a scenario or we can choose to look at it with introspection.
  • Look for the answers to the questions you’re asking.
  • The only way to find answers is to pursue questions.
  • The way to learn is to look for what’s missing and question how you can fill the gap.

Watch the recap below:

The Learning Process:

  • Learning is a verb. It’s not to have the knowledge. It’s the process.
  • There’s always something MORE to learn and be excited about.
  • Learning is about the constant funnel of being open to what’s next.
  • We have been conditioned with FEAR to not ask questions and challenge learning, we have to push past that and ask questions.

Watch the recap below:

Aligning With Higher Power and Purpose:

  • We are all made for a specific reason. Humans are the only ones that feel the need to change ourselves instead of stepping into ourselves.
  • We were born in the exact way we needed to in order to accomplish what we were meant to.
  • We spend too much time looking at what we are “supposed” to be like instead of capitalizing on what we have.
  • Everything (feelings, thoughts) are relevant. It’s just about HOW.
  • Start from a place of “here” this is what I have instead of “this is where I should be.

Watch the recap below:

Three Brain Model:

1) Head - IQ - Intelligence Quotient - Where we think

2) Heart - EQ - Emotional Quotient

3) Gut - PQ - Percipients Quotient

Steps:

1) What do you think about this? Process from your head brain.  Then step away - reset

2) What are you feeling? - Use non-verbal descriptors - what is your heart saying. Use colors, sounds, or images to describe what you’re feeling. Don’t THINK about it. What represents what you’re feeling. - Reset

3) What are you sensing? - this is the gut instinct. This is an instantaneous perception.

  • Our natural instinct is to go first to our head and thinking when in reality our gut instinct is the most powerful one.
  • Acknowledge where and how you’re getting information from all three sources.
  • All of our current health issues are in the places that we’ve been “overusing”. When we experience an issue in one area it’s because we need to access and utilize the others.

The Bottom Line:

The 3 main takeaway points were:

  • Dig deep - we are all Exceptional and Irresistible from within, we just need to uncover it.
  • Stop worrying about everyone and everything else - focus on your true potential and focus on what value you can add to this world.
  • Learn how to use all your faculties that are available to you, your brain, heart, and gut.
