Introduction:

Many of us are on a journey of self-discovery, while many of us have a clear vision of where we want to go in life. However, no one is exempt from growing within their field. If we are not growing then we are falling flat on our faces, as Yermi’s grandfather used to say “Life is a treadmill, if you ain’t moving forward, you are falling on your face.”

The question is how do we grow? How do we align our growth with our meaning and purpose? What does growth look like? All this and more are discussed in this week’s conversation.

Come join us on the journey to discover the importance of growth and how life is just like a treadmill, if you ain't walking forward, you are falling on your face, in this week’s episode and discussion.

  • Expectation is the root of all heartache
  • Growth is being able to be self aware of your weaknesses and what you suck at, and pursuing them and doing it anyway.
  • Wake up and say “I suck at X, but I’m going to go after it anyway” and pursue it, closing the knowledge gap, and bringing value that helps everyone accomplish
  • “If I had a lever long enough, and a fulcrum to place it on, I could lift the world.” - Archimedes

The Bottom Line:

The 3 main takeaway points were:

  • You’re never too young to be wise, and you’re never too old to learn something new.
  • Growth is directly related to life’s purpose, but it may take time to get to the destination
  • Find a way to enjoy that journey, otherwise, it will get tedious.
